Action Aid is working in partnership with the Agrarian Assistance Association (AAA), a local organisation working to organise and empower tribal peoples in Dumka district. AAA is helping tribal farmers maximise their productivity through eco-friendly method Communities are also helped to identify and develop alternative sources of income such as cottage industry based on forest products. There is a non-formal literacy programme for children and a sanitation and health awareness programme.
